ME BE LIKE JESUS? IMPOSSIBLE!
The bible says, (Eph. 4:11-13) that the spiritual gifts and offices were given for the purpose of making us into the full stature of Christ. This means we are being helped to become like Him (2 Cor. 3:18) Tells us that we are like looking in a mirror and see Jesus and are being CHANGED INTO THE SAME IMAGE, step by step by His Spirit!
Jesus told His followers that they would do greater works than He did. and He set the pattern, that we "should follow in His steps,(1 Peter 2:21). It would take a Jesus-like person to fill His shoes and do greater works, Jesus, in human form, presented the Father to the world While here, He built His church. (It is His body. . . He is the Head) He has gone back to the Father, but left His body here, in His place, with the ministry bringing man to God.
We are Christ's ambassadors, His representatives.
Christians who WANT to be like Jesus can be. It was His intent. Jesus came and presented the Father to the world. He has gone back to the Father, but He left the church here to RE-PRESENT (Present Him again) to the word.
